Team Mash Bristol to Newcastle ride

Between 17 and 20 July 2015, Kevin Mashford and a team of 50 riders completed a 4 day, 342 miles, cycle from Bristol to Newcastle in memory of Kevin’s┬ádonor John and friend Jonathan Osborne, who sadly lost his battle following his lung transplant.

The Transplant Association is a new charity is being set up by Kevin and Jonathan Osborne’s wife, Emma Osborne.

They aim to to raise awareness for the need to register on the Organ Donor Register and provide funding for NHS nurse training, specifically in the area of psychological support for patients and their families.

Cycling 340 miles is a major feat of endurance for anyone, but for a man who has had a heart transplant it is an extraordinary challenge.

Kevin is a remarkable individual whose indomitable spirit is an inspiration to us all.
